Spamassassin 3.3.0 released

Apache has announce the release of Spamassassin 3.3.0.   This is the first major update in one and a half years.  You can read the official announcement in SpamAssassin’s announcement list archive.  The latest version is available for download on the SpamAssassin download page, http://spamassassin.apache.org/downloads.cgi?update=201001261515.

Some of the changes are:

  • More ipv6 support
  • Rules are now distributed through sa-update and not with the 3.3.0 download package
  • Some third party plug-ins are now part of Spamassassin
  • DKIM is now enabled by default

Make sure to check your perl and amavisd-new versions.  Support for older versions is being phased out and some older versions are incompatible with version 3.3.0.
